1987 - 1988 | SPEE celebrates 25th anniversary and begins formal history preservation.

1990 | Midland Chapter established.
1993 | Oklahoma City Chapter established.
1993 | SPEE membership exceeds 400.
1993 | Strategic Long-Range Plan developed.
1995 - 1996 | SPEE launches early internet presence.
1998 - 1999 | Updated Monograph I becomes available.
1999 | SPEE membership exceeds 500.
1999 | Production Tax Study posted on SPEE website.

2001 | Recommended Engineering Practices program approved.
2001 | Survey of Economic Parameters modernized and distributed with historical surveys on CD.
2002 | SPEE releases Perspectives on Fair Market Value of Oil and Gas Interests.
2002 - 2004 | SPEE/SEC reserve-definition forum series becomes a major professional dialogue.
2004 | SPEE develops Discussion and Guidance on Ethics.
2004 | SPEE participates in intersociety discussions on certification of petroleum reserve evaluators.
2006 - 2007 | SPEE participates in JCORET and PRMS development.
2007 | SPEE co-sponsors the International Multidisciplinary Reserves Conference.
2007 | Bylaw amendments support international chapter growth and broader membership access.
2008 | SPEE marks 45 years and reflects on PRMS, JCORET, internationalization, and website/newsletter modernization.

2013 | SPEE holds 50th Annual Meeting.
2013 - 2014 | Ethics columns and ethics programming continue.
2014 | SPEE publishes and trains around Monograph 3; Monograph 4 advances.
2014 | Annual Meeting shows growing international participation.
2018 | SPEE supports 2018 PRMS update and begins website redesign planning.
2018 | SPEE approves a detailed Grievance Procedure document.

2020 - 2021 | COVID-19 disrupts in-person meetings; SPEE holds virtual business meeting.
2021 | Asia Pacific and Latin America chapter development advances.
2022 | SPEE returns to in-person Annual Meeting in Napa.
2023 | SPEE recognizes Internet Committee contributors for new website work.
2024 - 2025 | SPEE continues technical training, Monograph 5 work, PRMS/COGEH/UNECE participation, and global chapter activity.
